Mission:  Lectors proclaim God's word in our parish liturgies. Lectors proclaim, reflect, and teach the love God and his Son, Jesus Christ, have for all of us as reflected in the Old Testament and New Testament readings at each Mass and for other liturgical services.

Role in Heart to Pray:

Through prayerful preparation, the Lector proclaims God's Word in a joyous, reverent, and spirit filled manner to bring the story of our faith into focus for all parishioners. Understanding how God has and continues to share his love with us, helps each of us to be more deliberate and thankful in our prayer.

Role in Heart to Serve:

Through deliberate and careful preparation, and proclamation Lectors serve to provide parish members an insight into God's covenant with man, through his Son, Jesus Christ, and His promise of everlasting life.

Role in Heart to Share:

Lectors share their talents as public speakers to express God's word to our parishioners with an energy and understanding that enables each of us to pray and thank Our Lord for his sacrifice leading to eternal life.

Role in Heart to Witness:

Lectors serve to give witness to our Faith by their professional presentation of the Word of God in our liturgies.  By their understanding of the meaning of each reading, they connect with the congregation to express that meaning and to allow a deeper love of God and his role in our lives.
