Father Dan has been appointed as the new pastor for St. Benedict parish. He comes to us from St. Mary Magdalene Church in Simpsonville, SC.

Join us for Hospitality this Sunday February 26^th, between the 9:00 am and 11:15 am Masses. Come enjoy some refreshments and welcome Father Dan to our parish.

St. Benedict Blessing & Dedication Anniversary Photobook

To commemorate the one year anniversary of the dedication and blessing of our church we have produced a Photobook of the construction, dedication and highlights of the past year in our new church. The price for the photobook will be $20 and all profits from the sale of the book will go toward the building fund.

Pre-order by March 7^th, and your photobook will be ready by the dedication anniversary - March 18, 2012! You may pre-order through the “Pre-Order Sign-up” in the Narthex or by clicking the link below. If you would like to pre-pay please make your check out to "St. Benedict" and put "memento" in the note. Please sign-up for your pre-order once either online or in the Narthex. Youth Ministry Movie Night

Youth Ministry Movie Night: All Jr. High and Sr. High youth are invited to come and watch “The Mighty Macs” Friday, February 10th from 7:00pm to 9:15pm in the St. Francis room. Popcorn, drinks and other treats will be provided.

Just bring items to make yourself comfortable. (Example: blanket and pillow)

Lowcountry Orphan Relief: All Jr. High and Sr. High youth are invited to come out for a Service project at the Low Country Orphan Relief on Saturday, February 25^th from 10am to 1pm. We will be helping to organize the clothing room.

Diocese of Charleston High School Conference

Diocese of Charleston High School Conference: Come and join high school youth from all over the state of SC for a weekend full of faith & fun Friday, March 9^th – Sunday, March 11^th. This conference is put together and on by high school youth from across the state. The conference includes national speakers, music, games and time with peers that share your faith. The cost to register is $140.00 and will include the bus, meals at the retreat, lodging, a t-shirt and cost of the conference. The conference will be held at the White Oak Conference Center in White Oak, SC. The bus will leave Blessed Sacrament at 4pm on Friday.

St. Benedict Catholic Church located in a northern suburb of Charleston, SC is a parish that celebrates the Vatican II spirit and is seeking a full time Pastoral Associate. Flex work week including nights & weekends. The Pastoral Associate provides leadership and administration of specific areas of parish life working closely with parishioners, volunteers and staff.

Areas to be included: Parish Ministry; Liturgy; Sacramental Preparation (Baptism, RCIA, Marriage, Funeral); Adult Faith Formation; Pastoral Care.

A graduate degree in Theology or equivalent is required. Five years experience in parish leadership is preferred. Strong communication and computer skills required. The successful candidate is flexible, adaptable and demonstrates good multi-tasking skills.
