Translations

Our times are challenging, exciting, scary, curious, and more. Join us for Translations, a faith exploration for Christians in today’s world. Each month, we will present a new topic, briefly share the Church’s teaching, and spend time reacting, discussing, and working towards translating the teaching to application in the modern world.

We will not answer every question…we will not fully understand every issue….we will not shy away from any topic…we will challenge each other by sharing our personal interpretations through lively discussion….we will have fun!

Sample topics include human dignity in death, economic morality, immigration, and the role of faith in science. Our only agenda is to seek Christ in all things and to understand the Catholic Church’s effort to bring Christ into the myriad of issues that challenge us at work, in our communities, and in our families.

All are welcome to attend. The only requirement is a willingness to listen to and learn from one another. You are not required to prepare, but we ask that you do your best to prepare by reading and praying about the issue to be discussed. Resources to prepare for each session will be provided through websites, documents, published articles, and other sources to promote an informed and intelligent discussion. Click the links at left for resources for each session.

Join our faith exploration!  All meetings are in the ECCO conference room at 7:00 pm.
