F.I.R.E.

All are invited to seriously accept and take our joint responsibility to walk with each other in faith, providing the encouragement and environment we all need to grow closer to God and each other in love and understanding. Family Intergenerational Religious Education (F.I.R.E) is a key component of our community's spiritual growth. In fact, over 50% of our parish's families participate in it. F.I.R.E. is an alternative approach to the traditional C.C.D. model of religious education and focuses on the Christian formation and spiritual growth of the entire family -- in the home. The process is a creative, "non-classroom" way to bridge the gap between "going to church" and living one's faith. Emphasizing the exploration of Scripture, discussion and prayer, F.I.R.E. is challenging, community-oriented and fun!

The approach involves meeting in small groups of families, each with a facilitator, to explore together and grow in our Catholic faith.
